Welcome!

  • Hello World… Again!

Here I am! Did you miss me? As luck would have it, given it’s almost St. Patrick’s Day, the day of luck and debauchery, I am bringing sexy back! Ok, not really, just my blog. The original blog decided to take a trip to technical outer space, along with all of the contents… sad. Alas, I am starting anew. I will try to repost some of the old and bring in the new. I hope to push further and post more often. I have feared being to upfront, too vulnerable, but as I have learned over the past year, so many people could benefit from hearing similar stories to their own that they don’t even know exist. Many of us go through life thinking we are the only ones who have experienced a certain situation. We sometimes are embarrassed to even talk about the situation thinking that others will judge us or have no idea what we are referring to. In actuality, we are much less alone in our experiences than we realize. We are not nearly as unique in our struggles as we think we are. How we perceive them, push through them, or overcome them is where our uniqueness lies. I hope in sharing, some peace can be found in the moment and that you have the strength to endure and persevere.

As my blog is entitled, “Croi alainn… Beautiful heart”, I try my best to look at life through a lens, or a camera phone, with a ‘beautiful heart’ filter. I admit, sometimes it can get out of focus and the perspective is a little blurry. I admit, I’m human. I also never stop thinking. Given space and time, I will look at a situation from all perspectives and do my due diligence to address it with honesty, kindness, and love. I believe this is what it means to have a beautiful heart.

I also believe we can find joy in the extraordinary and the very ordinary. My mother taught me how to find joy in the simplest of things. Now, when my own children say, “Mom, look at the sky, isn’t it pretty?”, or “Mom, I found a worm and gave it a new home!”, I delight in knowing that I have passed down this ability to find the joy in the ordinary. I truly believe this joy has gotten me through some of the toughest times in my life. I also believe it is this joy that keeps me smiling, laughing, and looking up to a greatness that lies well beyond this earth. A child-like joy that should endure no matter one’s age. After all, the most beautiful heart can be found in that of an innocent child.

I hope returning readers will enjoy the continuation of “Croi alainn,” and new readers, welcome! I hope I can bring some reading enjoyment and possible fresh perspectives to your own journey. Peace. Love. Joy.
